hi sue
to go all the way round the lake takes approx 4 hours. if you are stopping and starting you would do better to have a different place each night.
any where with in 100/200 m of the lake charge more so look for something a bit away from the lake 600m to 1-2k the best places for price are houses that rent out a couple of rooms and they are always marked up ZIMMER as its mostly germans who come

thanks, that is very helpful - worked abroad in various countries for a while, can do some german if absolutely necessary (but i does english bestest).
enjoy summer, you are having better weather in Hungary. will have very poor fruit harvest this year here in bulgaria, got caught by late frosts. not enough rain for plants either, farmers are complaining.
