Damn, I was hoping to delete my post before anyone read it.
Sober now if not a little liverish, I can answer the question by explaining that I love dogs and the bigger the better. My two, a banned breed in the UK, provide security and a great deal of fun, love and affection. Even Adam needed protection in the Garden of Eden and had he had such dogs, that jezebel Eve would never have been allowed close enough to tempt the poor man with her, ‘apple’. What a different world we’d have today, eh?
Hmm...Brazil.
Hmm...Brazil.

Those of a politically correct disposition should stop reading now.
Alone and sipping coffee in the early hours under a full moon that is bright enough to cast strong shadows and in the company of my dogs, a couple of 60kg killers who thankfully recognised my voice after I somehow finally managed to get the key in the lock of the garden door and stumble in without them ripping out my throat and who now seem to detect that their master is not quite as is usual while he reflects on an evening’s entertainment. In this mellow mood I cannot but comment on one of the things that make it all worthwhile being an expat.
Yes, I’ve imbibed this evening and will possibly regret this posting, but meanwhile thank you Chile, France and Argentina for your wonderful wine and you, whoever you are, for that finishing liqueur. My thanks also go to a Brazilian, a Belgian and two Argentinean friends with whom I have just shared a gastronomic evening. Sure, I could be in any part of the world to enjoy such delights in male company, apart that is from such countries where religion or cost precludes such decadence. God, I love Brazil. The perfumed night air, clean and warm if not disturbed only on occasion by the odd scream or gunshot [I’m kidding] it’s just perfumed and warm – screaming and gunshots occur only at weekends. My bed beckons...my apologies...
