Zarnesti is pretty clean, and Magura ditto - people seem not to flytip in the village, and now we actually have a bin lorry coming up once a week (amazing considering the state of the road) it's better than ever. Waste management in Romania is a major opportunity for a savvy investor, though... I don't think the concept of recycling has got very far yet, and they just love plastic bags.

Glad you liked Brasov - supposed to be the most popular city in the country. The centre is quite pretty and the surroundings lush. About 40 mins from Zarnesti and an hour from the village.  

Are you still in Romania, I get the impression from your blog that you have returned to the UK?
