Hiya people!

My name is Jo and I'm 28, I currently live (and work) in South-East London, though I was born in Kent.

In a couple of weeks I am heading over to the States for just short of nine weeks. I have friends - and a man, haha - in upstate New York and basically this summer is a trial run to see if my suspicions are correct; that I want to move to the US permanently. I have loved the place for as long as I can remember and visiting it over the past few years has just clarified to me that I want to be more than a tourist there.

I have done some light research into the visa thing, and I think I have my head basically around the process...? Though a couple of online assessments have led to some very pushy phonecalls from companies I am sure just want to rip me off! (GlobalVisa seemed nice but I have heard that people are taking them to court to get their money back, so will steer clear of those!).

Anyway, I'm not making any big decisions until I see how summer goes. I am SOOO excited to be over there with my friends, I'm counting down the days

My hobbies include writing (I LOVE it, I write a horror movie review blog), music, watching films, photography.

This seems like a really nice forum so I look forward to getting to know you all!
