Hi

Welcome to the forum! We are a friendly and supportive community who
enjoy sharing information or just debating a wide range of topics. If
you'd like to introduce yourself please do so below - you'll be made
very welcome

PS Not sure what to say? How about...

- Where you're from
- Where you are now (if you've already moved abroad)
- Why you moved abroad or why you're planning to move
- Your interests and hobbies

Kind Regards
Carole

Hallo

Me and my wife moved to Lecco, Italy a few months ago and would love to meet with some expats around here. We are from South Africa and will be here for a while as I'm on a work assignment.

Our interests are very broad - and yet to meet some English speakers in Lecco , so at this point we will not be picky whom we'd like to meet!! hehe.

Regards,
Stefan

Can Anyone Help??

I am looking to relocate to Italy and have been wanting to for some years.
I am 44 so need to earn a living.
I can do PA, admin, horses, animals and house and pet sitting, care taking but would need a living wage from it.
I am bringing my horse with me so would either need to live in or rent a house and field near by.
I know this is a tall order but it has been a dream of mine for so long that I must do something.
My brother lives in Piedmont (I have been out to see him several times) and has a boutique hotel there and he runs it with his wife and mother in law so there is no work for me there. I would prefer the Tuscany area anyway. I can speak basic Italian and French and know I would learn more if I lived there.
I really do hope you can help as i think about it all the time and have tried and applied to several jobs in Italy working with horses and care taking and property sitting etc.
I am very reliable and trustworthy and have a C.V and references.
Yours very hopefully

My husband and I are looking to move to Turin. We will be in Turin for 2 years and then return back to the states. We are currently in MI. Trying to get as much info as possible. My husband will be working at Fiat and I am looking into enrolling my children in the International School of Turin. Any feedback on areas for housing near the school and work for my husband, or other school recommendations. Thanks! Smile

Ciao Bella,

I used to have my own ESL language school in Liguria.

I set up my school from scratch with no Italian I'm from UK.
I also sold my little school a few years later to an expat. I have decided to help others do the same by writing this e-guide about how to start your own school in Italy. I hope this will help you do the same and have a much luck as I did.
