Hi Mike
We are coming to Bulgaria in March. House is lined up, company set up, but the first three years tax returns we thought were incilude in the company set up fees arn't. Apparently we had to buy thought the agent who helped set up the company. Is this a standard trick? How much should we expect to pay to have the tax return done?

HI non running companys pay from as little as 50lv a year for tax returns,
some estate agents can charge up to 300E we know people who have payed both

If your company has beeen running for 3 years i understand, but if its a new company why are they charging you for 3 years, you pay each year at the end of March .
regards WIlola

Hi Geoff

I tend to agree with all Wilola says. I pay about 50lv and friends tend to help me pay the utilities each year and their rates tax
It is very unusual for agents who set up your company to include company charges in advance, as paperwork has to be submitted and also would depend if it is active or not

Hi Jake, Helen

I presume if you have now read through some of the forum, you will have seen that we all have our favourite places, depending on what you are looking for.
Of course if you will still have links with Turkey , it will be best for you if you find a place with good links to travel back and forth

As for buying, the main point is dont be pressurised into buying and see as many places and properties as possible, find out who your neighbours will be and if you think you will fit in.

Have fun

Mike
