part 2: have you looked at schs, it may be difficult as they do have waiting lists. and if you have a 15 year old now not many schs do sixth form. there is defo more choice in dxb tho.

There are many nice areas in the UAW to live. Al-Batin, Khalidya and New Marina are to name a few. Each has different things to offer, but it is important to do thorough research before you make a choice.

uaw i think means uae. al bateen is the correct area, but havent heard of new marina not in abu dhabi do you mean dubai? just be aware that nearly everywhere now on island are becoming metered parking, so you will have to pay. as a resident you can apply for a parking permit for a fee of course.  

yeah, commuting from dubai to abu dhabi everyday would depend on your adversity to risk. the more you travel that road the more you... well, yeah.

al reef villas is definitely worth a look if you are moving to abu dhabi.

it's new, close to town, close to yas island and you're already on the way to dubai if you're wanting a night out.

Real Estate Dubai and Abu Dhabi are very lucky places with respect to living because these two cities have almost all luxurious facilities which mostly investors want. In my opinion Dubai hotels are better than Abu Dhabi because rent of the apartment in Dubai is almost down because of recession and facilities apartments in Dubai are same as apartments in Abu Dhabi.
