Hello. I'm 23 year old white male with about $6k looking for a very long vacation. I was doing google image searches of the different islands and I think I'd like to visit Palawan, probably Coron. I'd like to be far from the big cities, but close to a market/village, transportation, etc. Will some of the natives act hostile towards someone with blonde hair and blue eyes? I know I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb, but I'd assume they'd be overly respectful since I would be stimulating their economy. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. In addition, I would like to mention that I smoke marijuana (I hope this isn't inappropriate for this forum). I've heard it can get you a life sentence, but it's very cheap and law enforcement are easily bribed. Any insight/experiences on this would also be helpful. Thanks in advance

I'm a frequent visitor to Philippines and am gradually getting to many different places have currently spent time in: -
Manila, Cebu, Subic, Angeles, Cagayan De Oro, Iligian, Bukidnon, Puerto Gallera, Camiguin and in August spending time in Dumagute.

Hoping to retire to Phil next year as soon as i reach 55 and can escape UK.
