Adubopor are still trading, but only just - I think that they are in their "death throes" due to competition from Leroy Merlin, Aki, Maxmat, etc. Last time I visited the one in Portimão they were very poorly stocked and virtually no staff. Great shame since they were a great outfit.


Sanipina (Google it) near Lagoa is very good but I am finding that the local farmer's co-operatives are well stocked, good prices and very helpful staff (I use "Fruiti Co-op" at Chinicato between Mexilhoeira Grande and Lagos; if they don't have it, they will get within 24 hours).

There's a garden centre on the left hand side of the EN125 between Algarve Shopping and Bouliqueme just before you get to the junction to the IP1 and Vale de Paraiso. They sell pond linings, fish and pond plants. I happened to spot it a couple of months ago. Not cheap however. At least I didn't think so.

It does beg the question of what do you want the fish pond for? Fish or just growing plants?
