depends what your situation is, but basically if you can come up with a thrid of the cash then banks over here are willing to give you the rest of the cash. It all depends on what your plans are visit www.expats.cz for more specfic info.

I'm now house hunting too and found that many of these large developers have agreements with banks that provide mortgages to their customers. 15% down is correct. The average term is 15 years, but I have heard talk of 20 year mortgages in rare instances for expats.
Don't forget! You will still have to form an s.r.o. in order to own any real property or vehicle in this country if you are not a citizen. This will run you about $1000 towards lawyer and accountant plus another $8,000 in a business account - which you're free to withdraw once the corporation is established. You will also need to pay quarterly (if I'm not mistaken) taxes on your s.r.o. as well, so my best advice is make it pay for itself and do some sort of business on the side.
Through your s.r.o. you will be considered self-employed and so your visa goes through your company. The laws were recently changed and foreigners no longer need to have a Czech national on their board of directors. "Jednatel" has been done away with. This saves you at least $85 a month token money. What a rip off, eh?
Good luck!
