Living in Marrakech
Living in Marrakech
Posted: Mon Jan 23, 2006 9:31 pm
Hi
I have spent the last 8 months living in Cascades d'Ouzoud (very nice place!) in Morocco and I am planning on coming back in March for another job, and move to Marrakech. I will have to start over again in a city I know a little bit, and I was wondering if there are any expats out there who live in marrakech and could give me some usefull advice on nice places to hang out or any information of interest. I have to admit...I found life in Morocco quite lonely sometimes being a woman, and having some restrictions on my movements as some of you may understand.....so a little social life would be nice! Anyway, I hope to hear from you out there!

Hello Luangwa,
Welcome to Expat Focus, I do hope you enjoy your time with us, I have only been to Morocco once and that was 22 years ago, it must have changed a lot since then.
Good Luck in your new Job

Are you still here? I am in Marrakesh (also a woman) and could meet you, and introduce you around, if you haven't met anyone. Let me know.
Best regards,

Hi. I am an expat that moved here to Marrakech 3 weeks ago. Always looking to meet fellow expats and make new friends...especially since I am working hard to learn french! I am a musician at the Jad Mahal so if you are looking for a good time to hear some live music, I can maybe help there.
Let me know who is out there!
talk soon,
