All that glitters .... ?

Post Posted: Sat Jan 14, 2012 10:06 pm

On the surface, it sounds like good news.

Anybody taking advantage of the 1-year 10% rebate on electricity bills, being offered through Continente ?

I have not looked into this, but I did hear that it referred to standard tariff only, not bi-horario or tri-horario.

Can anybody out there confirm this?

I was not aware of this offer, what are the details?

BTW, is there a charger to switch from standard tariff to t bi-horario etc, or to change the kva rating?

I have picked up the Form to complete. If I can read the Portuguese correctly.

Must be completed by 4th March.
Valid until 31st Dec 2012
Your Continente Card is credited with 10% of the value of he consumption of electricity (before IVA)
Only applicable to "tarifa simples"
maximum rating applicable is 20.7 KvA
I think that you have to take the bill in up to 10 days after receiving it
Not sure whether you must pay EDP by Direct Debit or not (I always pay at the ATM)

So, if you get your bill every two months and, say, it is total of €300 of which €200+ is consumption then you gain approximately €10 per month; €120 per year.

I'm sure that someone can clarify the last two points above.

Sounds good to me!!!
