Body Jewellery On Sale in Dubai

Post Posted: Wed May 31, 2006 12:53 pm

(Jendy) I'm posting this under extreme pressure from my sister-in-law! If you read (past or present) my post "lefties in dubai!!", after I go on about how happy I was to find a shop that sells things for lefties, I mention that my sister-in-law was also happy to find them because they sell body jewellery. NOW, after days of pestering me and saying "you-have-no-idea-how-important-it-is-that-people-know-this-because-you're-not-pierced", she's made me devote a topic to that part of the shop ... actually, she's going to do the writing because I wouldn't know what to say.

(Jendy's sister-in-law) First of all, they don't pierce or tattoo but they can tell you who in Dubai does.

Now, the important part - their piercings are FANtastic! They've got all sorts of stuff for anywhere: navel, nose, tongue, eyebrow, nipple, lip, anywhere the hole, any size, chances are they've got a ring for it - they've even got expanders and tunnels! When I was there, they mentioned that they're waiting on I-can't-remember-how-many-thousand new piercings for a make your own piercing section (I was too impatient to wait but I'll be back for that!) Honestly though, the designs they've got are GREAT!! There's butterflies and fairies and turtles and tribal-type abstract designs in black titanium and some of the rings are two-in-one: like some of the navel rings can be "detached" and the gem worn in the navel while the rest hangs off a necklace or whatever; there's even a navel ring that's a mouth sticking out it's tongue and the tongue is pierced and THAT piercing you can remove and wear in your eyebrow; and there are tongue piercings that have eyebrow piercings going through them ...... it's just all so much really!!!!

Just in case you're worried that they're not all that good, don't be. The three girls and guy who own/run the place are all pierced and tattooed - so they do know what they're doing. Their stuff is all titanium (their black titatnium is GORgeous!) or surgical steel (so it's all hygienic and hypo-allergenic) and they wear gloves before they touch the piercings, they don't allow people to try the piercings on (they came across some places that do allow this - and one of these places I had been to and almost bought a navel ring from!!!!!!!), and they're so great at answering questions!!

If you want their number or directions, just reply to this post.

Reminds me of a little shop in Weymouth, who did my naval piercing - The guy that did it has piercings all over the place, tunnels in his ears with chains hanging from the lobes, attached to his nose and down to his mouth.... Ouch!!!! Kept my mind occupied whilst they did their "stuff" Everything is handle with gloves, when piercing they use aprons, gloves and face masks, sterile wipes and so on .. its all so sterile its clinical.

We got my additional naval bar from the Gold and Diamond Souq, it cost about 120 Dhs as I needed an 8mm bar so perhaps this place is a tad cheaper and as you say more choice.... Gonna have to be brave as
Im not very good at finding new places as I always get my knickers in a twist when it comes to finding parking.

none of the people at 4 leaf clover look as extreme as this guy!

i know what you mean about parking ... do you think it gets to be less of a cause for panic the longer you drive? but there's no need to worry about it too much. i was there just after lunchtime and there wasn't a lot of traffic. plus the building is on a corner so if you drive down the side street i'm sure you'll find parking easily since it looks to be mostly residential down there.

good luck!

Of course I can! Although may I first say that I didn't think anyone would be desperate to buy body jewellery ... shows how much I know!

It's really easy to find and, like I told Mikkie before, parking doesn't look like it would be any trouble.

The shop is called 4 Leaf Clover and it's in a building called Centro Centre in Satwa -- not far from the Iranian Hospital. Their phone number is 345 3773.

In case you need directions, read on, if not, happy buying.

If you're heading in the direction of Deira on Wasl Road, just after the Iranian Hospital there will be traffic lights. You make a right at the lights and drive along the road for about 150 metres or so. Centro Centre will be on your left just after a place called Picasso Gallery which sells massive clay pots.

Good luck!
