As a foreigner you have no right to social security unless you have worked in and paid taxes in Chile. Many foreigners who live and work in Chile opt out of the state pension system and therefore pay less tax on their salaries. This means that they will not receive a pension in Chile when they retire. This is only legally acceptable if the foreigner contributes to a social security system in their own country.
If you are retiring in Chile you can use your pension payments from your home country in order to receive residency.
