Croatia - Climate and Weather

With its varied terrain, Croatia has essentially three climactic zones: coastal Mediterranean, inland Continental, and central mountainous.

Along the coast the climate is similar to that of central Italy, with long, hot, dry summers and mild but occasionally windy winters. Summer temperatures can range from 60 to 96 degrees Fahrenheit.

Zagreb's climate is mostly continental, with hot, dry summers and cold winters. Rainfall is common during the fall months from October through December, and is frequently accompanied by fog. Snowfall is common during the winter months, generally from December to early March, with occasional heavy accumulations. Zagreb's temperatures often dip below freezing mid-winter. Summer temperatures can range from 55 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
