Denmark is not a particularly attractive retirement destination for many expats due to the high cost of living there.

For expats from many western countries including the UK and US state pensions can generally be paid to them direct in Denmark, and they will benefit from any increases in the same way as if they were in their home countries.

Denmark has double taxation agreements with a number of countries and if covered by one of these you will not be charged twice on your income, including your pension, when living in Denmark.
