Telephone

The country code for Estonia is +372. Calls to Estonia from outside should be made with +372 dialed first, followed by the subscriber's number. Calls from Estonia require a person to dial 00 + the country code + area code + the subscriber's number. The Ekspress Hotline is an English-speaking information service serving all of Estonia. The Hotline number is 1182 and the website is www.1182.ee. 1188 Info is another information line available all over Estonia. The 1182 and 1188 numbers can only be dialed inside the country.

Foreign investment in the form of joint business ventures has greatly improved the telephone service. Substantial fiber-optic cable systems carry digital telephone, television, and radio traffic.
