The Republic of Ireland has three airports: Dublin airport which is around six miles north of the capital city, Shannon Airport on the west coast, ten miles from Limerick, and Cork Airport, five miles from Cork city. Express buses operate between these airports and the nearby cities.
It is also possible to travel to Ireland by ferry from Wales and from France. Ferry services operate between Dublin and Holyhead in Wales, and between Rosslare and Fishguard and Pembroke in Wales. There are also services between Cork and St. Malo, Le Havre and Cherbourg in France.
