Education and Schools
Back to top Back to main Skip to menuMalaysia - Education and Schools
Education at local schools is cheap but as teaching is mainly in Malay, Chinese or Tamil, language will be a problem for many expatriate children.
There are very good international schools in all the major towns which offer English as the medium of instruction. There are also international schools in Malaysia using Japanese, Indonesian, American, Australian and French curricula. Compared to other countries, the cost of international school education in Malaysia is relatively low.
