Getting There

Malta - Getting There

Malta's international airport is at Luqa, three miles from Valetta. From here, taxis operate to all parts of the island of Malta.

In addition to Malta's own national airline, Air Malta (KM), a large number of other national airlines fly into the country, including British Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa, Aeroflot, Austrian Airlines and Alitalia. Air Malta flies to all the main airports in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The flight time from London to Malta is three hours. Malta does not impose departure tax.

High-speed hydrofoil, catamarans and car ferries operate on the sea routes between Malta's main ports (Valletta, Marsaxlokk, Mgarr/Gozo) and mainland Italy and Sicily.
