You must obtain a work permit to be able to work in Mexico. If you work without one, you run the risk of being deported. If you do decide to search for work in Mexico, in most cases you must be fluent in Spanish in order to secure a job. You should also be aware that wages are generally low.
However, perhaps one of the best options for working inside the country is teaching English. Children are taught English as young as kindergarten age, and it is a requirement all the way through high school. Unfortunately, many of the teachers know very little English themselves, so native speakers are always in demand. Furthermore, there is an abundance of private English schools, as well as the opportunity to give private classes on your own.
