There are still relatively few expatriates working in Poland, and opportunities for the employment of foreign nationals in the country are very limited, unless they are posted there by a foreign company with a base in Poland. There are usually opportunities available for English language teachers in Poland.
If you do wish to look for work in Poland, you can find details of job vacancies in the Polish national and local press, and via the websites of Polish employment agencies.
EU nationals are eligible to use the Polish state employment service to look for work. To do so they need to register with an administrative district labour office as unemployed or as a jobseeker, providing qualification certificates and evidence of identity.
Daily Polish newspapers with regular job vacancy supplements include Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita and Zycie Warszawy. These mainly advertise jobs for managers, professional and office staff. Local newspapers are useful sources of information on vacancies for skilled and unskilled manual workers.
