Retiring and Pensions
Back to top Back to main Skip to menuPoland - Retiring and Pensions
Poland is not currently a popular retirement destination for expatriates, perhaps due to language barriers, cultural differences and the severe winter weather.
Poland has double taxation agreements with many countries and if covered by one of these you will not be charged twice on your pension or other income if you retire in Poland.
For expats from other EU member countries, state pensions can generally be paid to direct to them in Poland, and they will benefit from any increases in the same way as if they were in their home countries.
