Electricity and gas supply in Poland have been liberalized and there is now a choice of suppliers.
Bills are normally payable every month or every two months and can be paid in cash at the post office or bank, by direct debit or via internet banking.
Only around 75% of residential properties in towns and about 40% in rural areas have a hot water supply.
