For those seeking fun in the sun and sandy beaches, Portugal is an ideal vacation spot in which to play or simply relax. Swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing and just about every other imaginable type of water sport can be found along its shores. Portugal's Estorial Coast is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coastlines in all of Europe.

There are many challenging golf courses with world-class facilities for the golf enthusiast.

From archery to horseback riding, paintball games, ATV's and tennis, Portugal offers an exciting variety of outdoor pursuits. Even winter snow-skiing is available in the mountains of Serra da Estrela.

International films are shown in air-conditioned cinemas in Lisbon, Porto and many of the coastal resort areas.

Lisbon and Porto, among other cities, are packed with nightclubs (some featuring live entertainment), discos and intimate bars for those who desire a bit of nightlife. Dining out is a national pastime, and there are many restaurants that specialize in local and international cuisine. Prices are reasonable, and the quality of Portuguese wine is renowned.
