Buying Property

Saudi Arabia - Buying Property

It is extremely difficult for an expatriate to buy property in Saudi Arabia, and since most contracts are just for a few years there is little incentive to do so. The purchase of property by foreigners used to be prohibited, and although this is no longer the case it is virtually impossible to buy a house which costs anything less than a million UK pounds (Sterling).

Expatriates are allowed by gov to have residential property, and some developers have already sold properties in their projects to expatriates. And some companies are even offering instalment plans like Dar Al Arkan, offering houses to expatriates on monthly instalment plans.
The price of one double storey villa with 6 to 7 rooms is around 100,000 uk pounds.
