You can also arrange convenient transportation to Bratislava (and other Slovak towns) from Prague in the Czech Republic. The distance by road between Prague and Bratislava is about 200 miles.
Plane
There is only limited air service to Bratislava from abroad.
Air Slovakia flies from Birmingham, England (http://www.airslovakia.sk/new/about.php).
Austrian Airlines offers service to Bratislava's International Airport direct from London.
Czech Airlines and Air Slovakia both have daily flights to Bratislava from Prague. The flight takes about 45 minutes.
Train
Trains from Vienna to Bratislava depart from Wien Sudbanhof at regular intervals, arriving at Bratislava's Main Station or Bratislava Petrzalka. The duration of the trip is generally about one and a half hours.
Trains to Bratislava depart from Prague's Main Station and from Nadrazi Holesovice. Departures are scheduled approximately every two hours during daylight hours, and the trip takes around four hours depending on the itinerary of stops.
Bus
Buses from Vienna depart from the Sudtirolerplatz Bus Terminal and from the Wien Schwechat Airport. There are regularly scheduled departures and the trip takes about one and a half hours.
Boat
Although Slovakia is a land-locked country, it is possible to take a ferry or hydrofoil to Bratislava via the very scenic Danube River from Vienna or Budapest, Hungary.
