Gas
Back to top Back to main Skip to menuThailand - Gas
If you are using gas appliances in Thailand then these will be connected to LPG gas bottles. There is no mains gas piped to any home in Thailand at all. The LPG gas bottles are available in a variety of sizes and can be purchased at any number of outlets in each town. It is common for the retailer to ask for a deposit on the first gas bottle that you have. Many retailers will deliver the gas bottles to the home or you can simply exchange the bottles at the shop.
If you are in an apartment then there may be restrictions on the use of gas bottles and it is common for many apartment complexes to be electric only for heating and cooking. There are no regulations about the use of gas appliances although these can be checked by heating engineers if there is a problem.
