Thailand has one of the best developed leisure, entertainment and sports industries in Asia - if not the world. It really is possible to do anything here, and find a group of people to do it with.

Leisure

With their superb cuisine, at very affordable prices, Thai restaurants are always a popular choice. What's more, in most cases it can be cheaper to eat out than it is to cook at home and so very often you see whole groups of Thais and foreigners eating out in Thai restaurants.

One of the delights of Thai life though is its acceptance of other lifestyles and there must be literally hundreds of other types of cuisine to enjoy here. Popular are Italian, Chinese and Indian - but you find also find Lebanese, Moroccan, and many more.

If eating out in a restaurant is not your chosen way to unwind, you can make your way to one of the numerous foreign "pubs" and clubs that can be found in most built up areas. One note of caution, however, is that import taxes on foreign beers and wines can mean that it's more expensive to drink in a pub here than in the West.
