If you are interested in a particular sector of employment, it may also be worth searching the vacancies sections of the websites of Qatari companies and foreign companies operating in Qatar. These include companies in the oil and gas industries and the national airline. Teaching posts are advertised on the websites of the many international schools based in Qatar.
The working day starts early in Qatar, usually before 7 a.m. During the hottest summer months, many businesses close between 12 noon and 4 pm, and reopen until 8 p.m.
Under the Labour Law all employees are entitled to a day off per week, 14 days annual holiday per year, paid public holidays and sickness pay.
