Panama has two main universities, the state-run University of Panama and the privately funded (Catholic) Santa Maria University. There are a few other state funded univerities and several private universities. Tuition is very reasonable at the state schools, and not very expensive at most of the private universities. Some of the private schools are actually branches of US universities, so a degree earned at these is the same as a degree earned in the US (FSU in particular).
