Bangkok also has the traditional means of getting around - the tuk-tuk. However, most long-term residents leave tuk-tuks to the tourists as they are often dirty and an expensive means of getting around.
Finally, all visitors to Thailand should keep in mind that Thailand does have some very bad traffic jams - especially when it is raining. Indeed, you'll find agreement among Thais that traffic jams are the only thing they collectively, as a nation, complain about!
