Price of concrete

Post Posted: Mon Apr 20, 2009 9:35 pm

Hi to all!
Does anyone know the cheapest price per m3 of concrete in the Algarve,
I am near Messines/Silves?
Also the cost of wood 150mm X 50mm per metre? (not hardwood)

Hi Pob89,

My husband should know this but he can't remember Rolling Eyes

But we live in the Messines area and he used Technovia - they are in Messines - hope this helps - if you need the number we might be able to dig it our for you! Smile

Around €60 per m3 plus IVA.
Depending on the mix, as cheap is not always best.
Technovia seem to do a good job though, that's who I used for my house last year and it's still standing.

I was quoted €65 per m3 for general concrete for patio or wall foundations(Alcantarilha).

What is the wood for? Shuttering? If so try to find some wooden pallets (I found a load abandoned at the local "Lixo" and broke them up). If not then go to IZI or Leroy Merlin or Max mat or Aki and check out prices for planed and rough sawn.
