Speaking of foods you can find more & more products in GB's around Belgium with some of the larger shops having a "Foreign Foods Section" but be prepared to pay over the odds for the imports.

Here in Romania the local food takes some getting use to and yes when you find a can of Bake Beans in a major store it is at least 3 times the UK cost.
What I do is order in bulk from Tesco online and have it delivered to a friend and then when somebody is driving in my direction they bring it. I usually order 24 cans of Bake Beans at a time!!!!
I usually do it for a number of Expats here but not as a business.
If I did it on a larger scale I could sell items to the local stores e.g. Uncle Ben's sources and gravy.

Hi Paul,
Never been to Romania although did have several trips to Bulgaria and not wanting to offend on Bulgarian's, but I would hazard a guess that their hote-cuisine is probably quite similar and goodies from home would be a welcome addition to the local ingredients and munchies available.
Its funny in fact just how nice it is to have some foods from home. This week I have been remember just how good Branston Pickle is for cheese, Heinz sandwhich spread is for ham sarnies, Robinsons orange squash is to quench the thirst & just how different English chocolate tastes to the Belgian kind (although I'm not complaining, Belgian chocolate is pretty damn nice).
All this food talk is making me hungry!!!! Right, bacon butty on the way!!!
Cheers

Hi,
There are special sections in GB and Delhaize now where you can get 'well known' brands from around the world now.
Personally, I like to try the local specialities as well as things which remind me of home.
Regards
