My wife and I are planning to retire to a Greek island (have not chosen which one yet). Could anyone tell me the best web sites &/0r agents to use for long-term (minimum one year) rental properties, please.
Many Thanks Dave & Sara

Hello Dave
If you are interested I am looking to rent my apartment near Agios Nikoloas on a 12 month contract. Hopefully to somebody looking make their home in Crete and wanting to try it out and make all their arrangements before their final move.
I have some advert sites that will give you some idea, and plenty of pictures. Paste the site in your browser and it should work.
(1) www.propertyadvert.co....asp?id=409
(2) villa-holidays.vivastr...hs/4758937
(3) www.searchtheproperty....iendly=yes
However take no notice of the prices there. I am looking for a 12 month contract in the region of Euro3650 (that is Euro 75 per week) or in GBP 3200 (that is about GBP60 per week)
If any of it interests you, or you have any questions then contact me on my new E Mail address bodllyn @ hotmail.com
Regards
David L Price

Hello Dave
Good luck on your rental hunt, the the other daves rental offer was very good.
You should not have a problem finding a bargain, the housing market (sales)is very slow so many new builds standing empty.
The owners want income, rental agents bless their cotton socks price the
rental houses to high.
What many people do now, they do the leg work they find the owners
ask if they want to rent,if the price is to high you can haggle or walk away.
It is right a renters market,we live east of Rethymno 20 min drive away and 45 mins drive from Heraklion also its a ten minute walk to a beach med sea views allyear round.
Good hunting
