My wife and I are planning to live long-term in Crete. We need to decide whether or not to take our white goods and furniture, or buy them in Crete.
Of course, cost of purchase against cost of shipping is most important. Also, we are planning to initially rent a property in Crete, but if it were unfurnished, would they possibly include white goods. Any help will be most useful. Thanks Dave Starr

Hi
We took all our furniture and white goods with us, after finding a place and costing the replacement of buying new against removal fees it was definately worth taking the goods, what we also did was found forums in the near location and managed to buy bits ie washing machine, double bed which worked out cheaper.
I have a couple of names of removal companies (not sure if they go to Crete ) p.m me and I will help out if I can
Good Luck
