Malta income tax question

Not sure if I should put this here or the Finance section but here goes...

Where to start? The facts:

DH works on a boat, he can live anywhere in the world as a result. His company have to fly him half way round the world every month to get him on or off the vessel. So I would like to move to Malta. If we made a move he would stay in his current job - no worries there and no problem with work visas etc. I don't currently work so that isn't an issue either.

Now because he qualifies as a Seaman he gets to claim Seaman's Deduction on his Income Tax return. What he gets depends on how many qualifying days he has etc. Before we can do our sums and work out what we can afford in Malta then we need to know what he will have to pay in tax, I know what the tax bands are but I have no idea (and can't find anywhere that tells me) if there is a similar situation in Malta. Does anyone happen to know? A bit of a specialised question but aren't they all really? Or even who would I need to contact to find out?
