Is it enough? :S

Guys,

Im new on here and want to thank everyone who contributes to the site, have already taking a lot of information from the forums...

Anyway I am in the middle of deciding whether or not to move to Malta! I have family in Mosta and therefore have somewhere to stay and the essential support network required for such a move.

Without blowing my own horn I have been successful working in the UK and at the age of 26, my annual earnings are about £30k... which is really good for staying in Glasgow. However I want a new challenge and a job that is going to offer me other opportunities... and I think I have found one! My problem is the salary offered is only 20k Euros, which is £17.5k, aI know its not the same... BUT im scared its not enough!!

Looking at rent its about 400 Euros per month and just not sure after income tax and general living, that this will be enough per year to live in? I can earn commission, but obvs not straight away!!

Any help would be massively received!! Just for the record Malta is amazing, I have visited every year of my life and I cannot recommend it enough to amnyone thiniking about moving. But as a tourist, having spending money is a lot different than living on a salary, hence asking for help Very Happy

Hi Fraz,

Sorry for the very later reply. 20k should be enough to provide you and 1 other person with a comfortable life, although living a life of luxury is a different story.

If on the other hand if you have kids, you might find it a bit challenging. Let me know if you need any more details
