We are hoping to move to Paphos within the next few months and have two children of school age, one child is 9 and the other 10. I have been told that Pegeia has a good school which teaches in english but please can anyone give any information on this?. Both of the children do not speak the greek language so any information on the state schools in any area would be appreciated.

If you mean the private institute in Peyia you can find info here
stgeorge-cyprus.com/index.html
There is also a local school which I believe has english pupils.
If you put your children into a local school they will be put back a year in which time they will be taught greek.

Hi Veronica,
Thanks for your reply, by any chance do you have any contact details for the local school?? i have tried a few options to get this info but cannot seem to find any numbers / email address's etc and on my recent visit to Cyprus the school was closed for the holidays. In your opinion do you think the children will pick up the language ok and that being in a greek school would effect their education? i have had a few different opinions now each one being different and i am just looking for as honest opinion as possible. Thank you for your help.
