Hi All
If you love taking pictures, why not set yourself a challenge by taking part in our online photographic competition. Every month we set you a theme, and all you have to do is use your creative genius to produce your photographic interpretation of that theme. Simple!
September's theme is "A funny thing I saw..."
This month we'd like you not only to submit a photo but also to complete the title. e.g. "A funny thing I saw on the way to a bar", "A funny thing I saw in my garden", "A funny thing I saw when I woke up next door(!)" etc.
To enter: www.expatfocus.com/ind...&f=171
As always, please remember to include details about when and where the photo was taken and what type of camera you used.
Closing date is September 20th.
The winning member will receive a 20GBP Amazon book voucher (or equivalent if Amazon doesn't deliver to your country) together with a mention in the monthly newsletter. The winning entry will also be placed in the winner's gallery!

Hi All...AUGUSTs Winner
Congratulations to MartinR - this month's winner. His splendid entry on the theme of "Sunset" can be seen below.
www.expatfocus.com/ind...mp;t=19670
The Expat Focus moderators thought that it demonstrated a good focal point of view with an eye on the action of the surf boarder walking in the foreground. Also, the flare of the sun does not overwhelm the whole photo, as it could have done, but instead shows the sea and sand to good effect. An Amazon gift voucher will be on its way to you shortly, Martin!
There was praise too for peteknopp, whose entry can be found here - we thought the vibrant colour captured in the clouds was perfect.
Overall the standard was very high and our thanks go to everyone who entered.
Here's the winning photo from MartinR who says "This picture was taken by my wife at Praia do Castelejo nr Cordoama last November on a very chilly evening! Taken by a Sony Cybershot. Hope you like it :D"
