Hi,
I will be moving to Abu Dhabi in December 2009 and in need to find a 2 rooms apartment for rent.
Appreciate if anyone can help me as to where I can find a reasonable one. The rental that I am prepared to pay is between 5K to 6K per month and do hope there is one for rent.
best regards,

Hi lang,
Welcome to expat focus.
Depends what standard you are looking for - 60-72k /year will rent something 2 bed room in perhaps a fairly run down low rise in Abu Dhabi - while you would certainly get more for your money in Dubai. That said - there is amore small new stuff coming on line shortly from newly finished buildings - studios and 1 beds & 2 bed, which have been in shortage for years in Abu Dhabi.
Check in with the landlords when you arrive lang.
All the best - Y&F

| There are a lot of buildings on clad or final fix stages around the island, that will be 2 -6 months away from going on the rental market. Suply and Demand Lang - It's happened everyhwere else in the UAE as number of renters have slightly reduced at the same time as loads of units have come onto the rental market. Not the same numbers in Abu Dhabi unfortunately, but still, most main streets you drive down today, there is at least one new building heading for completion on the site of a demolished low rise, bringing another 18floors of units ready to come online. Also Khalifa A&B and the new off island compounds are available and more reasonably priced and attractive than they were last year. Whilst these are not in your chosen budget, they still take families out of the 3& 4 bed appartment market on the island, which reduces those prices and increases their availability which obviously has a knock on effect down the market.

Hi Y&F,
To be specific, I will be based in Al Falah region or district perhap. Like you said, I might not be able to get an apt in the region of 60K to 72K per annum in Abu Dhabi.
Anyway, I will be staying in hotel for the 1st month and from there on I will try to snoop around if I can find one that suit my budget. My family will joined me later after securing an apt.
regards,
