I'm sure this has been posted here many times before. I was recently offered a job for 16K in Dubai. I will most likely live in Sharjah. Is it doable with todays rents and economy?

Hi Torguy,

Welcome to Expat focus.

Is it doable - Yes, Broadly equivilent of living in London on about 30k salary. Comfortable for a single with low outgoings, Tight for a demanding family.

Sweeping generalisations obviously but you get the idea!!
