Hi

I would like to introduce Saaya as Co Moderator on the India Forum. She has written a brief introduction as below. Saaya will be a great asset to the forum so please feel free to ask Saaya lots of questions about India, from culture to cooking, Location to Relocation to schooling, driving, banking etc etc etc etc etc.... Laughing

hi I am Saaya. An Indian Citizen and moved to Portugal last year along with my husband who got a work opportunity here. I have been part of Information Technology Industry for last 8 years and worked with Major Multi Nationals in Bangalore.

India is such a diverse country with rich cultural heritage and not to forget awesome food. Having been the part of culture I love to know other cultures; cuisines and people.

As far as my hobbies go ; I love books; cooking. My latest passion is photography. Besides that I love playing scrabble; I am passionate about blogging. Meeting new people , visiting places, shopping ( yay !! ) and gadgets.

I wanted to become a moderator for a simple reason that I want to benefit people with the knowledge I have about India. Because there had been lot of people who guided me to settle down in Portugal. I want to do my bit now.

I wonder if we could kick things off a little bit in the India forum with a recipe thread similar to the one piglet set up for Portugal? I know I'd be interested in it at the very least Smile

Hi Saaya, I heard that you have just joined as Co-Moderator for the India forum and I just wanted to send you (another) welcome message!

It will be really interesting to read some of your experiences from life in India and also what you think of your new life in Portugal - at least you will be very used to the hot and sunny weather there, having come from India! How are you managing so far with learning Portuguese?
