Hi All
On the 24th November i fly into Faro as there is no flights from Liverpool to Porto also Lisbon dates where no good. I then need to drive up to Gois in Central Portugal area.
Any comments or advice also what are the tolls like and any idea how much they are.
Are there any areas where there are speed cameras or other things to watch for.
Peter

| I'd avoid the Autostrada and go on the A10 (no toll) at that time of year it won't be busy, so you can get a move on, Faro to Lisboa, is 2 1/2 hours max. No problem, nice little cafe's to stop and have a drink at and a pee, not the impersonal motorway places, that charge a wad for a coffee. Lisboa to Gois, dunno, maybe another hour? Not sure.

| Faro Airport to Góis avoiding the motorways is 279 miles. Using the motorway it is 312 miles. We came back to the Algarve from Lisbon on the motorway and it cost us €17. Hope that helps.

If you keep roughly to the speed limit on the motorways, it will take about 5 hours and cost about 32 euros in tolls.
IP1 - A13 - IC10 - IP3 I think.
Have done Aveiro (which is North of Gois) from Portimao a few times now. Know the route but can never remember the road numbers.

At least 5 hours and €30 ish on tolls.
Don't even think about using the A roads North from Faro because there is no good route for the final leg East off the motorway and that will be enough hard work.
If you are leaving Faro after midday then the last leg will be in near dark on twisty B roads with not much street lighting. Worth buying a satnav and printing off a bunch of google maps.
