Hello! Couldn't find any link to this question, so I hope I'm not asking anything new...
We have just bought a house and are not sure what to do about our 10 year old T2 flat here in the centre of town (Fundao).
In the current climate is it best to put the flat on the market - prices seem to be being reduced for other flats in the area...or to rent it out and get a small monthly income?
If renting, would we be liable for tax on the rent?
If renters default on payments , is it easy to get them to leave?
Thanks for any advice you might be able to give!

There are probably lots of opinions. but look here; www.globalpropertyguid...e/Portugal
rental laws in Portugal are strongly "pro-tenant", and there is a mandatory 5 year contract. other time frames are not recognized by law.
this has stopped me from moving my property rental business to here.
