hi my name is emily and i've been having a read of the expat guide, as i am in the first stages of deciding whether to move to ankara or not. My husband is kurdish and has been offered a job, but as i am english i dont know how hard it would be for me to find work..the rules over visa permits etc seem very long winded and possibly hard to get as i still live in the uk..could anyone tell me where to start?!!!

Hi and welcome!
If your husband wishes to take up employment in Ankara, does his company have any openings for you?
There are quite a few careers that are not open to non Turkish nationals so it depends on your qualifications etc. What are you doing now? What do you think you'd like to do in TR? What does your husband suggest? Are you considering applying for TR nationality? That may make your job search easier. Do you really want to work here? Would it be possible to take time out and do other things like further study, voluntary work and just experience living in another country?
Good luck! Smile
