Long Bank Hol coming up

Post Posted: Tue Nov 09, 2010 7:23 pm

Next week starting ( including) Monday 15th Nov 2010, which is Arefe Gunu (= Eve) ,is the Kurban Bayram. Many people will be shopping and traveling the previous week.
Transport and shopping centres will be full!
It's a long holiday, officially 4 days, but has been extended and includes the weekends either side. Arefe Gunu is normally just a half day.
Course shops etc will be open over the whole period as they usually are.
State offices, schools etc will be closed for the whole 9 days.
If you need cash, tickets, meds and other vital commodities make sure you stock up.
Private medical centres are open, state hosps have minimum staff on duty.
Public transport normally works as usual. The local police and municipalities
carry on as usual too.

Looks like the weather's going to be pleasant in a lot of places so hope you enjoy the break! Smile
