Advice on relocating to Barbados

Post Posted: Fri Feb 11, 2011 9:12 am

Hi

Myself and a friend are currently living in England, after many visits to Barbados we are now looking to re locate to Barbados.

Where do we start...... Here are the following questions we need advice on

We looking for employment, is it best we go out there to hunt for employment or wait until we are offered interviews and then go out ? We have already registered with employment agencies but no luck in hearing back

Shall we apply for a working permit before we go or whilst we are there ?

Any advice on relocating would be so helpful, we have done loads of research but now wondering how to put into actions as we want to move out there asap

Many thanks

Becky and ema

I have noticed no one responded to your message. I am curious if you have relocated to Barbados yet?

My family and I are considering a move there also. How are you coming along? Laughing

My wife and I are also planning on relocating to Barbados from the US. I am retired, but she would like to continue to work. She understands that she will need a work permit for continuing her profession in speech pathology. We plan on visiting in February to get some initial work done. I have run into a number of people who have retired there over the years, but I did not engage them on relocating, so any advice would be appreciated.
