Medical Care in Gibraltar

Post Posted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 1:53 am

Update received by email

If you are elderly and thinking of moving to Gibraltar permanently, you are able to transfer all your NHS benefits to Gibraltar very easily and have access to all medical services, if you need any care at home, then you have to pay for it privatly, costing up to £288 a day for 24hr basic care, or approx £10 per hour, if you need specialist nursing care then it can cost a lot more. Unless you have been a resident of Gibraltar for a minimum of 10 years, (and even then there is a waiting list) then you will not get any help, either financially or physically.
