Will bad uk credit rating/debt hinder a mortgage in norway?

Post Posted: Tue Aug 04, 2015 5:27 pm

Hi,

Me and my wife have been out of the UK for four years and living in the US in this time. We have now moved to norway and are looking to buy a house. I am wondering if old UK debt + plus uk student loan will become known to the norwegian bank of our choice. We have decent paying jobs and a deposit so we have the prerequisites but we are worried if they will take into consideration our uk debt/credit rating when issuing a mortgage.

Cheers
